The main objective of setting up a European Technology Experience Centre (ETEC) is to act as a common filament for both the European organizations and Indian counterparts to demonstrate their technologies, products or prototypes etc., as well as training and capacity building workshops to connect with organizations in both Europe and India. This will be achieved through virtual collaboration software making it easier for EBTC and its partners to engage directly with companies and individuals.
“ETEC is a great tool in enhancing collaboration between EU and India. Companies can make use of the latest technology to connect and interact across borders, saving them time and money when in the initial phases of developing India as a new market. Likewise, the Centre will allow Indian companies to search for EU technologies and solutions suitable for their requirements,” said Poul V. Jensen, Director, EBTC.
For a European business or research organization intending to locate themselves within opportunities in India, EBTC opines that a sustained visibility, presence and interaction with the relevant stakeholders in the market are very important for the development, deployment and success of a technology and business. ETEC will help European business or research organization in connecting with Indian partners better while it also helps end customer / partner, in better understanding the solutions. One can also utilize the ETEC for organizing or carrying-out capacity building activities.

The European Technology Experience Centre showcases European technologies, solutions, and research and development opportunities via real and virtual media. European organizations, in general, attempt to find a partner, investor, project opportunity in India to get started. In reality, Indian counterparts would like to learn more and have consistent contact to develop their understanding of technologies and their techno-commercial benefits – to make informed decisions.
The Centre will support the main objective of EBTC’s existence: assisting SMEs and research organizations - in Europe and India -to work together towards generating new business opportunities and technology transfer. The Centre is enhancing collaboration between EU and Indian companies which will be achieved by using this modern technology, saving companies time and money when conducting initial market research.
CLIMATE KIC is responsible for strategy and international partnerships. Climate KIC is an EU Clean Tech innovation and entrepreneurship program and a part of EIT, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology. The aim of Climate-KIC is to accelerate and stimulate innovation in climate change mitigation and adaptation, by integrating a network of partners from the private, public and academic. In the Climate-KIC Entrepreneurship Program, it support early stage clean tech start-ups. They have supported -150 start-ups in the past two years.
