As part of her new role, Phoon relocates to India and with immediate effect, becomes part of the Indian leadership team. She reportsjointly to Baxter Jolly, vice chairman, Asia Pacific, and Atul Ahluwalia, managing director, Weber Shandwick India.
In India, she will divide her time among the firm’s New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore offices focusing on supporting key client programmes and will take a lead role in managing relationships within the global Weber Shandwick network. She will also joinWeber Shandwick’s newly formed India management board.
Phoon joined the agency in Singaporein 1997. There she rose to lead the local Technology practice before being appointed regional practice head, advancing to executive vice president in 2008.She then moved to New York in 2010 as a client leader for one of the firm’s top global clients.
