Aziz artists solo was inaugurated by U.S. Consulate General Michael Mullins, at the Taj Deccan.  Known for his equine creations in three dimensional emboss work, Aziz shares with the city a collection of paintings which depict subjects close to his heart: the vanishing rocks of the Deccan Plateau and the crumbling, majestic Golconda Forth and other Deccani subjects.  The location for the solo is special-The Taj Deccan is after all dressed with wild horses created by Aziz decades ago.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Michael Mullins said, it’s a honour to launch the collection of one of India’s renowned artists. His paintings capture the city. Silent auction being hosted here to contribute the same for the education of girl child is a wonderful thing to do, he added.

I started off painting from a very young age, during my schooling said, Mr Aziz. My next series of painting is on Deccan, the natural rock formations of Deccan. We are destroying the natural formation of rocks here. Nature is the inspiration for my paintings. About the iconic wild horses painting at Taj Deccan, he said, I painted it 22 years ago, it was a challenge to paint such a huge piece.

The internationally known artist will contribute proceeds from a silent auction of a painting to the fund the education of a Girl Child.
