Paytm Commits to Bring Brightness to Blinds

Paytm Commits to Bring Brightness to Blinds
To brighten up a few lives this Diwali, Paytm announced that it will donate all profits earned on transactions made on Diwali days - 2nd and 3rd November to the National Association for the Blind. The proceeds will go to the Association’s India Center and help support the education of blind girls, their vocational training and food.

Paytm had earlier run a campaign for the benefit of Uttarakhand flood victims, where it donated an amount of Rs. 20,10,862 to the Uttarakhand CM Relief Fund to help the government’s rebuilding efforts in the region.

Speaking on this occasion, Paytm CEO Harinder Takhar said, “We have always supported a bright world for everyone. Donating our profits to the blind seemed just the right thing to do this Diwali. We want to urge our customers to make as many transactions as they can over these 2 days of Diwali, so we can donate a good amount to the National Association for the Blind. The funds will go towards the benefit of the blind girls, truly a noble task, so please help us make this a success like always!”

Paytm website announced this communication in a unique way, giving a feel of reading Braille. Upon mouse-over it thanked the user for brightening up a blind person’s life and went on to mention the details.
