Government of Karnataka is the Partner State for EXCON 2013. The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is the Sector Partner.
Mr Oscar Fernandes, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session of EXCON 2013, scheduled on 20 November 2013 at 11.30am at BIEC, Bangalore.
Mr Ramalinga Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Transport, Government of Karnataka has kindly agreed to be the Guest of Honour.
Spread across 2,20,000 Sq. Mts of Exhibition Display Area, EXCON -2013 is bigger than its previous editions and will have the participation of 18 countries with country pavilions from Germany, Japan, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Sweden and the People’s Republic of China.
The exhibition will also feature Industry Conferences by CII, iCEMA and BAI; along with 100+ product launches and live demonstration of Advanced CE Technologies.

During Excon 2013, KOCEMA (Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association) is mounting a business delegation comprising 11 renowned Korean CE component manufacturers to participate at the exhibition.
EXCON is much more than just an exhibition showcasing CE. CII sees EXCON as a delivery vehicle to enhance and accelerate infrastructure in the country and aid India’s developmental process. It is an opportunity to understand how industry can accelerate infrastructure projects through modern equipment and global best practices with focus on sustainable infrastructure development. Focus on skill development (low in this sector) is a big priority in the objectives to be achieved through EXCON. Skill centres to train personnel in specific sectors are also on the anvil. Besides these points, EXCON can also address various issues hampering the country’s progress through a proactive and practical delivery module.
With a projected investment in the infrastructure sector in the 12th plan period (2012-17), which is pegged at US$ 1 trillion, the global players in the infrastructure sector, especially the construction equipment industry have immense opportunity to take part in India’s infrastructure growth story.
With a robust manufacturing presence in India, the CE industry has increasingly catering to not only India but to Asia and some parts of Africa.
Like the Automotive industry, the CE industry would soon position India as a global hub for CE manufacturing, design, R & D and components outsourcing.

Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA), an affiliate to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure Development (21th and 22nd of November) at BIEC.
Dr. E M Sudarsana Natchiappan, Hon’ble Minister of State of Commerce & Industry, Government of India has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session of the Conference scheduled on 21 November 2013 at 09.30am at BIEC, Bangalore. The conference would deliberate on key challenges in accelerating growth of infrastructure with thrust on sustainable development.

EXCON 2013 is an International Construction Equipment & Construction Technology Trade Fair organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
