Ted talks speaker and IIM prof Anil Gupta to conduct workshop for doctors on 'innovations in healthcare' at Asian Heart Institute

Internationally renowned innovator of ‘Honey Bee Network’ and TED talk speaker Prof Anil Gupta from IIM Ahmedabad will be visiting Asian Heart Institute on 30th November and 1st December to address the medical fraternity on ‘innovations in healthcare: Doctors as Designers’ in Mumbai. At this inspirational workshop hosted by Asian Heart Institute, Prof Gupta will focus on how to innovate and deliver the best care to patients who need them most.
Prof Gupta recognizes that the medical profession is one in which it is difficult to  ‘innovate’, due to the restrictions created by scientific, regulatory and practical requirements that need to be strictly adhered to.  Leading doctors from across the city have already signed up for this workshop.

Dr Ramakanta Panda, VC and Chief Cardio-Vascular Thoracic surgeon, Asian Heart Institute said, "Prof Gupta understands the doctor’s limitations of time and that our first obligation is to our patients and practice. To address the same, he will discuss simple and innovative solutions at the workshop. We are glad to host this.”
Prof Gupta created the Honey Bee Network to support grassroots innovators who are rich in knowledge, but not in resources. TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is where the world's leading thinkers and doers gather to share ideas worth spreading.

Asian Heart Institute is ranked as the best private hospital in India for cardiac care for two years in a row. Internationally accredited with ISO 9001:2000, JCI & NIAHO, AHI reaffirms its commitment towards world class cardiac care by being India's highest accredited hospital.
