VICE ADMIRAL PRADEEP CHAUHAN TO RETIRE FROM NAVY ON 30TH NOVEMBER
Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, Commandant Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala has arrived at Southern Naval Command on a farewell visit. The Admiral is retiring from the Indian Navy on 30th November after nearly 38 years of service. The Admiral was accorded a Guard of Honour after which he called on Vice Admiral Satish Soni, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief Southern Naval Command. Commissioned into the Indian Navy in July 1975, Vice Admiral Chauhan is a Navigation and Direction Specialist and a compelling  orator on matters maritime. He was a member of the 4th Indian expedition to Antarctica and the first Commandant of the Mauritian Coast Guard. His sea tenures include commands of INS Khanjar, INS Brahmaputra and INS Viraat. Vice Admiral Chauhan assumed office as the Commandant of Indian Naval Academy in February 2012. He has been decorated with Ati Vishisht Seva Medal twice and Vishisht Seva Medal.
