Graft tainted Yeddyurappa’s return to BJP is imminent
According to local media reports B S Yeddyurappa  the former Chief Minister of Karnataka is all set to join his former party the Bharatiya Janata Party soon. Speaking at a function at his home town in Shikaripura, Shimoga, Karnataka,Mr. Yeddyurappa said that he has decided to return to the BJP.
Yeddyurappa, BJP’s first chief minister in Karnataka, quit July 31 2011 on charges of corruption after the then Karnataka Lokayukta (ombudsman)  Santosh Hegde recommended his trial.
In another setback to the former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa’s comeback bid, the Supreme Court ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe corruption charges against him and his family members.
Yeddyurappa pointed out that he would merge his Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) with the BJP. He has however not indicated the date of his return to the BJP. He said that some formalities are left and that would be completed very soon. He indicated that it would be sometime in the middle of January when the actual merger is likely to take place.
