Medical Students Fest – ‘Anastomoz 2013’ kicks off at Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research

Anastomoz 2013 - the Inter College Sports, Cultural and Literary fest for students of MBBS being organised by Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, (AIMSR) was formally inaugurated by Mr. M.T. Krishna Babu, Secretary, Investment and Infrastructure Development, Govt. of A.P., on Tuesday at AIMSR College Campus, Jubilee Hills. Mr APV Reddy, Treasurer, AIMSR; Dr Dilip Mathai, Dean, AIMSR were also present on the occasion. Sri Krishna Babu also flagged off  a 3K run on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Sri Krishna Babu said sports play a key role in development of character, holistic growth helps in making a success in the chosen career.

MBBS 1st and 2nd year students are eligible to participate in the five day Anastomoz 2013 and entry for the same is free. The Medical colleges participating in the Fest are Malla Reddy Medical College, MNR Medical college, Mediciti Medical college, Deccan Medical College, Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College, Bhaskar Medical College, Sadhan Medical College, Kamineni Medical College (LB Nagar), Kamineni Medical College (Narketpally) and Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research.

The outdoor and indoor games will be held from December 17 to 19th, 2013. The outdoor games being hosted are Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball & Throw ball and all the matches will be played on a knock out basis. The indoor games are Chess, Carroms and Table Tennis.

The Literary and Cultural events being hosted on December 20th & 21st will have Debating, Quiz, Elocution, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Singing, Rangoli and Drama. The Prize distribution and Closing ceremony will be held from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on December 21st, 2013 at AIMSR College Campus, Jubilee Hills.
