Pearson Education slated to conduct Science Aptitude Test (SAT) 2014, for students in India
The world's leading education company, Pearson today announced that it will soon be conducting its ‘Science Aptitude Test’, for CBSE, ICSE and state board students in the country. The SAT exam will be conducted on two different dates i.e., on 19th January, 2014 and 2nd February, 2014.The company also stated that the registration for the test would be free.
Pearson’s SAT aims at astutely measuring the academic knowledge of school students. This test helps students attain the requisite momentum towards gauging their aptitude and identification of academic problem areas, if any.
“We are conducting the aptitude test across India for all students irrespective of their schools and are hopeful of receiving good participation. In addition to the test, Pearson is also organizing a presentation on career options for students wherein each student will be counseled adequately for future course registrations.” stated Mr. Vinod Viswanathan , VP , Pearson Learning Centre
Students studying in class 7thto 10thgrade are eligible to take up the test. Students attending class 8th to 10th will appear for the exam on 19th January, 2014 and 7th standard students will take the test on 2nd February, 2014 at selected Pearson venues.
The test will be administered offline, with the help of OMR sheets.  All students who appear for the test shall be intimated through SMS/tele calls about the declaration of results.
Pearson also reiterated that each student taking up the SAT exam will be eligible for the renowned Pearson Scholarship - Pearson SAT 2014 has 100 scholarships on offer. Additionally, toppers for each class will be rewarded with a Tablet. While the top 100 students will be given certificates of excellence, all test takers will receive a certificate of Participation.  The school that represents the overall student topper will be awarded the Pearson rolling trophy and a grand function would be held at a larger venue to felicitate the winners.
The results for the test administered on 19th January, 2014 will be published on 31st January 2014 and for 2nd February tests it will be published by 12th February.  The results will be viewable on the link online.pearsonlearning.in.
