Aam Admi Party volunteers were allegedly beaten up by Congress workers this morning near Mayaganahalli poll booth at Bidadi in Bangalore Rural district outside Bangalore city.AAP state president Prithvi Reddy claimed the incident occurred after AAP volunteers tried to prevent Congress workers from distributing money at the Mayaganahalli poll booth.AAP has fielded writer and activist Ravikrishna Reddy as its candidate against D K Suresh of the Congress, who is also the brother of Energy Minister D K Suresh. Suresh has several cases of illegal mining against him in Bangalore Rural district.
AAP also complained to the Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka and asked the police to provide protection to the party’s volunteers.
