More than 30 BJP workers were attacked allegedly by Trinamool Congress workers at Sandeshkhali in North 24-Pargana district on May 28. Four persons have so far been arrested in this connection.
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Vice-President Muqtar Abbas Naqvi along with party Vice-President S S Ahluwalia, MP, party spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, party-in-charge of the state Siddharth Nath Singh and Asansol MP Babul Supriyo are the members of this BJP delegation. The team is visiting Sandeshkhali in North 24-Parganas and also the SSKM hospital in Kolkata, where 30 BJP workers with gunshot wounds from Sandeshkhali have been admitted.
