New infrastructure policy of #Karnataka to be unveiled soon

The state of Karnataka is all set to unveil a new infrastructure policy that seeks to decongest Bangalore and promote Tier II cities. The policy would be formulated in consultation with trade and industry bodies and would help set up high-speed rail corridors between Bangalore and Mangalore, Mysore, Belgaum, Hubli, Tumkur and Kolar. Road connectivity will also be upgraded.The current Infrastructure Policy was cleared by the State Cabinet in July 5, 2007.
