Tamil Nadu government has launched a chain of Amma drug stores. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalaithaa, who is referred as Amma by her followers, today opened 10 Amma Medical shops in seven districts at a cost of Rs 1 crore.The new stores will provide branded medicine at a discount of 10% to MRP (maximum retail price) through the state-run outlets.
