Handa joined BEL’s Bangalore Unit in 1978 after completing BE (Mechanical) from the Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra(Haryana). He served as Additional General Manager (Systems) and Additional General Manager (Antenna) at BEL-Ghaziabad from 2004-2008, before taking charge as GM of BEL’s Navi Mumbai Unit in 2008. After a two-year stint, he was posted at BEL-Bangalore as GM (Export Manufacturing) in 2010. In 2013, he took charge as GM (Missile Systems).
