Shri Shiv Kumar Gupta (General Manager), Chief Vigilance Officer of Punjab National Bank visited the Circle Office, Bangalore on 7th February 2012 and addressed the branch Incumbent to be vigilant on day to day activities. Later in the evening he visited Rehabilitation Aids Workshop by Women with Disabilities (RAWWD) on old Airport Road and donated items like Sewing Machine, Router Machine and Half Round Surform & Flat Blades under Corporate Social Responsibility.
RAWWD was started on 10th August 1997 by 8 trained women technicians with physically disability. The Work Shop is run in two rooms provided by Cheshire Homes on Old Airport Road and they manufacture Aids for disabled at the Center. RAWWD has changed the personal lives of these women technicians by making them financially independent and many of them who thought they could not get married because of their disability are even proud mother and bread winners of their families.
