Manas are one such exploration. Born out of an attempt to connect with, contemplate and celebrate the concept of the Supreme Guru, the Universal Mind. Manas is set to selected hymns and verses from the Bhagavad Gita, The Upanishads and the Vedas. Breaking the choreography into 5 chapters inspired by the hymns in the Taittiriya Upanishad where it is said that the human organism has 5 layers (AnnamayaKosha, PranamayaKosha, ManomayaKosha, VigyanamayaKosha, AnandamayaKosha).  She has explored this concept in the production “Manas”


1.         Manas or Mind as Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara. The concept of Shriti, Sthithi and laya..(Annamaya).

2.         Manas as the pancha-boothaBhoomi, Agni, Vayu, Jala and Akasha….(Pranamaya)

3.         Manas as the Brilliance of  Knowledge, as bright as a 1000 Suns together creating an intelligence which can be experienced only by the learned who can look through the kaleidoscope of this brilliance….(Manomaya)

4.  Manas as a beautiful mother, a protecter, a nurturer, a teacher who guides through  life full of  adventure…(Vigyanamaya)
