Blast outside BJP office in Bangalore

A suspected bomb blast has taken place near the BJP office in Malleshwaram in Bangalore today. According to initial reports atleast 16 people are injured including eight policemen. Several cars have been damaged due to the low intensity blast including a police vehicle.
State Home Minister R. Ashok has appealed to maintain peace in the city. All the injuredared have been admitted to KC General Hospital. According to hospital sources there have been no head injuries and but some have suffered fractures and all are in surgery now and others are mostly lacerated wounds.
The NIA team has already reached the spot. A NIA team from Delhi is has left for Bangalore to assist in the blast investigation.
