Speaking on the occasion, Shri LV Subramanyam said, Nursing faculty has the ability to transform healthcare and the more important role they play is carrying the patient to their destination of good health. Nursing is a trying and difficult profession, as it is not easy to remove pain and boost morale of a suffering patient, all that requires enormous effort on the part of a nurse. For healthcare nurse is the vital link. He said, a nurse can radiate energy in a patient through her simple smile and make him feel good. She can communicate with the patient and ensure his comfort in the moment of distress. We should identify our professional destination and work towards it by inculcating discipline and confidence, the traits which can go a long way in building our career. We should also introspect as to what gives ultimate satisfaction. The riches we earn, the wealth we accumulate give temporary satisfaction; the smile, happiness and the sense of gratitude a patient expresses on his recovery is what gives immense satisfaction of doing a good job to the nurses. A nurse needs to imbibe values like patience, service to ailing patients to do well in the profession. He advised the nurses to work towards bringing glory to their profession.

Dr Hari Prasad said, the credit for the recovery of a patient goes to a doctor, but the fact remains that the recovery to a large extent is because of the efforts of the nurse and the nursing profession deserves that credit.

Ms Rafat Razia said, even in this era of hi-tech machines in healthcare, the role touch in the recovery of patient is vital.
