The Carrefour Group announces the opening of its first cash & carry store in the southern region of India in Bangalore under the name Carrefour “Wholesale Cash & Carry”. The store is located in the west of the city in the Binny mills neighborhood.
With a sales area of 6,400 m2, this store will offer more than 10,000 SKUs in food and non-food to business and professional customers, institutions, restaurants and local retailers and traders. The store has created significant employment opportunities for the local residents in the city itself by hiring more than 170 employees.
With the Bangalore opening, Carrefour WC&C India Pvt. Ltd. has five stores including those in New Delhi, Jaipur, Meerut and Agra.
