Actor turned writer Tisca Chopra announced the launch of her maiden book ‘Acting Smart’. The actress after having her book launched in Mumbai, chose to launch her book in Bangalore.
The book titled ‘Acting Smart’ was launched by a well known author Anitha Nair and a film critic MK Raghavendra on 23rd May 2014 at the JW Marriot hotel in Bangalore. The event witnessed many socialites and book lovers and also few well known faces of the film industry in full attendance and also a fun filled interaction that also gave insights about the tinsel town. The book also has many interesting trivia from industry experts like Imtiaz Ali, Raju Hirani, Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani. The book has interesting episodes and anecdotes.
The flamboyant actress has come up with a book which would help up-and-coming artistes have a complete outlook of how the filmy trade works.In conversation with Anitha Nair, Tisca Chopra also made few statements about the casting couch which is apparently mentioned in her book as well. While answering a few questions from the audience, Tisca though seemed polite and compliant, did not miss a chance to take few people down a peg for their outlandish conduct all the while refusing to reveal their names.

Tisca Chopra, having trained with theatre greats like Naseeruddin Shah and Feroz Abbas Khan, she got her big break in Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par for which she won several national and international awards. She followed that up with Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji and Ankur Arora Murder Case. She has recently acted in the Indian franchise of the hit American series 24, produced by Anil Kapoor. Up next is a feature film Rahasya. She has also starred in the runaway stage hit Dinner with Friends.
