Father of Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, Anil Kuldip Mehta died by suicide on September 11. Mehta allegedly jumped from his apartment building in Mumbai's Bandra on Wednesday morning. Some details have emerged about the incident and reports suggests that Mehta, 65, had called both his daughters before allegedly jumping off the balcony of his sixth-floor residence in Bandra's Ayesha Manor and said, "I'm tired". The police have said Mehta died by suicide.
Mehta was married to Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian. They were blessed with two daughters, Malaika and Amrita. However, Anil and Joyce parted ways when Malaika was 11 and Amrita was 6.
