Bharti Teletech Enters into a Distribution Alliance with Logitech
Bharti Teletech, one of India’s leading manufacturers and distributors of telecom & allied products, today announced a strategic alliance with Logitech (SWX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI), a USD 2.2 billion digital lifestyle peripherals major, to service business customers. Under the alliance, Bharti Teletech will sell and distribute an exclusive portfolio of Logitech products to enterprise customers in India. With this alliance, Logitech will be able to leverage Bharti Teletech’s extensive network of over 100 institutional distributors across 35 cities and towns to capitalise on the increasing demand for IT accessories in the Indian market.
The product range made available through this alliance will not be available at Logitech’s retail outlets and will be exclusive to Bharti Teletech customers. Logitech will be introducing a variety of products that includes mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers and headsets through Bharti Teletech. With Bharti Teletech reaching out to over 2514 Modern Retail Outlets across the country, Logitech India also plans to leverage this strength to promote its range of Home Entertainment Products that includes the Harmony Universal Remotes, Pure-Fi iPod Speakers and Squeeze Box Streaming Music Systems.

Logitech has traditionally focused on building its market share in the Indian retail market. It also has a strong foothold in the enterprise space because of its famed product quality and highly acclaimed product designs. Now with the retail market being serviced effectively, the Swiss technology firm has decided to partner with Bharti Teletech to reach out to enterprise customers.
