Bengaluru: Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley today said that efforts were made to bring down the cost of digital transactions in the country.
"The Central Government and RBI have taken various steps to bring down the cost of digital transactions to encourage the people to adopt digital payments and government is extending lot of incentives to the people to shift to digital mode of payment and the response is quite positive," he added.FM was speaking after inaugurating 100 Branches, 100 ATMs and 100 Digital Villages of Vijaya Bank here.The Finance Minister complimented the efforts of the Bank towards financial inclusion and for its initiatives in creating a digital economy by adopting 100 digital villages.
