#Canon launches new Laser Multi-function printers

Canon today introduced the new “MF 200” range of business Laser Multi-function printers (MFPs). The new Laser MFDs are suited for office environments of sectors like BFSI, Government, Enterprises and SMB customers.

The new Laser MFDs – MF 221D, MF 217W, MF 226dn and MF 229dw – come loaded with a host of productivity and convenience features, some of them made by Canon, especially for the Indian user. Ultra-Fast Rendering (UFR-LT2) for instance, optimises printer and desktop data processing; Indian Legal Duplexing helps print on customized media dimensions; On-Demand Fixing Technology regulates power consumption. All of these together, offer seamless printer performance for an office environment.

The MF 200 series will address customer requirements like lowest cost per page with the bundled toner cartridge delivering up to 1,700 pages. Indian organizations are looking at consolidating their print environment and with the help of MF 200 series customers can get fast quality prints and scans, copy, fax solutions, easy-to-use features and versatile connectivity. These printers offer high memory capacity, intuitive touch-screen and energy consumption. The new-age designs of these printers are scratch proof and resistant to dusty environment.

Ltd, said, “Indian offices across various verticals are adopting Laser MFDs to improve their productivity, save cost, be more efficient and simplify their printing infrastructure. Our new range of Laser printers is designed to simplify their printing environment and workflow, making it an ideal office printer. #Canon launches the 5th edition of #Photomarathon in India

Canon India adopts a village in Karnataka as part of  CSR initiative
After successfully implementing its ‘Adopt a village’ program near Delhi, Canon India today announced the adoption of Maharaja Katte Village at Kanakapura district of Bangalore. The campaign, which has been launched under iCare, the CSR wing of Canon India, aims to support the village with core interventions in Education Environment and Eye care for a period of three years. Canon India has been involved in various community welfare programs in the past and this project is an attempt to build a progressive self-reliant rural community.

With the adoption of the village school as the first step in this direction, Canon India focuses to improve the quality of education that would positively affect the lives of children in the school adopted in the village. The school adoption program by Canon India aims to educate and provide better infrastructure to make the school more conducive to learning and fun to attend.  Canon aims to expand facilities in this school by way of an  activity centre for children with sports equipment, art and craft material and books, drawing books and colours.

Canon India Pvt. Ltd, India’s No. 1 Complete Digital Imaging Company today announced the launch of CANON PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, a unique service experience for all professional photographers in India. The much-acclaimed Canon Professional Services (CPS) provides the best after-sales service and range of special benefits to professional photographers using Canon Cameras and Lenses.

The service is a testament to the growth and demand of Canon’s professional imaging products in India. A professional photographer can avail benefits such as repair and maintenance for registered Canon photographic equipment, access to technical support and services, solutions such as replacement support loan for Canon equipment in the event of loss, theft or damage. In addition, a member of CPS will also get invitations for events and forums organized by Canon.

Speaking on the launch, Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice President, Canon India said, “Professional photography is witnessing a new high in India. A CPS member can prioritise his/her membership level as per the requirement. A silver membership card holder can avail 30% discount on labor fee servicing and a Gold card holder, apart from 30% discount on labor fee can also avail free loan of back-up equipment during period of repair (if repair cannot be completed with 24hrs).

“At Canon, we believe in providing industry-leading support to our customers and this initiative is a step towards the same. Canon professional Services is an effort to deliver the best customer benefits to all Canon users. With the launch of the service in India, we desire to make it a successful programme to help imaging professionals achieve success in their imaging pursuits,” says Mr. Andrew Koh, Senior Director, Image Communication Products, Canon India.

The membership is available for full-time professional photographers who own officially imported Canon photography equipment. Professionals owning EOS 1D-, 5D- series – One body and at least three L-series lenses qualify for Silver membership and two bodies and four lenses for Gold membership. Services are available at all Canon Master Service centers in New Delhi, Mumbai , Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai

We are also providing back up loaner equipment against priority repairs in New Delhi and Mumbai. At present, there is no membership fee attached for CPS other than the eligibility criteria.

The Canon Professional Service has been highly successful in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand with overall 700 members.
