The Honda Accord Hybrid is imported from Thailand as a Completely Built Unit and will initially be sold through select Honda dealerships in the country.It will compete with the likes of Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry and the upcoming Volkswagen Passat GTE.

#Honda sold 1596 more cars in April

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has registered monthly domestic sales of 12,636 units in April 2015 against 11,040 units in the corresponding month last year thus witnessing a growth of 14%.HCIL also exported a total volume of 853 units during April 2015.Last month, the company sold 827 units of small car Brio, 2,862 units of compact sedan Amaze, 689 units of Mobilio and 8,203 units of the mid-sized sedan City.The company sold 55 units of sports utility vehicle CRV.

Honda’s Longest Drive through Amazing India’with family sedan Honda Amaze reached the city of Bangalore after covering the 2nd lap of the drive through West Bengal, Orissa and Andhra-Pradesh.

This long drive was flagged off from the city of Jodhpur on 15th September 2014 and is planned to cover a total distance of over 23,000 Kms covering the length and breadth of the country. While reaching Bangalore, the car has already been driven successfully for more than 14,500kms. Moving through 250 cities and towns across the diverse terrains and picturesque corners of the nation, the drive will culminate at Greater Noida.

#Honda Cars India registers 88% sales growth in August

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, registered monthly domestic sales of 16,758units in August 2014witnessing a growth of 88%. The company sold 8,913 units in the corresponding month last year.

The tremendous growth for the month has been achieved owing to strong sales momentum for the family sedan Honda Amaze and tremendous response for the newly launched stylish 7 seater MPV Honda Mobilio.

HCIL registered an overall growth of 49%during the period April – August 2014 with 73,185 units as against 49,263units during the corresponding period last year.

Expressing delight at the company’s performance Mr. JnaneswarSen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing &Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said,“We are extremely happy to witness consistent growth for Honda cars month after month.The festive seasonhas already set-in and will bring further cheer to the market. We are geared up for strong sales in coming months.”

HCIL also exported a total volume of 460units during August 2014.

HCIL will resume the production of its best seller Honda City from 1st week of September 2014 and the car will now be manufactured at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Earlier last month, HCIL also crossed the milestones of domestic sales of 1 Lakh Amaze and 1 lakh units of cars powered by i-DTEC diesel engines.

#Honda Amaze crosses 1 lakh sales milestone
