.@VijayaBankIndia Q4 FY 2017-18 net profit stood at Rs.207 cr up by 1.6% from Rs.204 cr in Q4 FY 2016-17




FY 2017-18 HIGHLIGHTS (Y-o-Y)
 Total business up by 20.07%
 Gross Advances up by 22.57% at Rs.118677 Cr
 Total Deposits up by 18.25% at Rs.157288 Cr
 Operating Profit zooms to record high of Rs.3098 Cr
 Net profit for Q4 Mar 18 at Rs.207 Cr against Rs.80 Cr in Q3 Dec 17
 Net Interest Income up by 22.73% at Rs.4303 Cr
 NIM increased from 2.77% to 3.10%
 Retail Credit up by 24.98%
 Housing loans portfolio up by 30.50%
 Gross NPA down from 6.59% to 6.34%
 Net NPA down from 4.36% to 4.32%
 Provision Coverage Ratio increased to 59.39%
 CRAR (Basel III) at 13.90%
 Bank has not availed the dispensations for
a) Reduction in NCLT provisions
b) Staggering of Staff Gratuity provisions
c) Mark to Market

While addressing the employees of the Bank, he outlined the immediate focus of the Bank is to  increase the share of low cost deposits, the continued focus on Retail Lending besides expansion in quality corporate credit and to improve the asset quality further to enhance the profitability of the Bank.

Cost of digital transactions is coming down : @arunjaitley at the launch of 100 Digital Villages by @VijayaBankIndia

Bengaluru: Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley today said that efforts were made to bring down the cost of digital transactions in the country.


"The Central Government and RBI have taken various steps to bring down the cost of digital transactions to encourage the people to adopt digital payments and government is extending lot of incentives to the people to shift to digital mode of payment and the response is quite positive," he added.FM was speaking after inaugurating 100 Branches, 100 ATMs and 100 Digital Villages of Vijaya Bank here.The Finance Minister complimented the efforts of the Bank towards financial inclusion and for its initiatives in creating a digital economy by adopting 100 digital villages.

.@VijayaBankIndia net up 57 per cent in Q1, touches Rs 255 cr.

Bengaluru: Aided by a 20.59% growth in Net Interest Income and a 114.49% jump in other income, Net Profit of Vijaya Bank for June 2017 quarter zoomed by 57.55% to reach all time quarterly high of Rs. 254.69 crores. Operating Profit of the Bank registered growth of 64.05% and reached Rs. 752.55 crore for June 2017.


The Bank continued to excel in the area of Retail Credit evidenced by a substantial overall Retail Credit growth of 22.80% and a 26.41% growth in Housing Loan portfolio, in particular.

CASA Deposits have increased to Rs. 36,318 crores, up by 29.82%.  Savings Bank Deposits have recorded a growth of 29.11% to reach Rs. 28,320 crores and Current Account Deposits have increased to Rs. 7,998 crores and recorded a impressive growth of 32.42%.

The Bank continued to focus on its Assets Quality which is witnessed by a decline in Net NPA to 5.24% from 5.42% a year ago, improvement in Provision Coverage Ratio from 48.55% to 56.01% though Gross NPA Ratio remained flat at 7.30%.  CRAR of the Bank at 12.73% as of June 2017 (Basel III) is well above the prescribed minimum regulatory requirement.

The bank has made an adhoc provision of Rs 40 crore during the quarter for NPA accounts covered under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) effective from July 1, 2017. Vijaya Bank is required to provide an estimated amount of Rs 132 crore in respect of NPA accounts this financial year.

#SIDBI & @VijayaBankIndia to offer loans to #MSMEs at concessional rate



Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kishore Sansi, the MD& CEO of Vijaya Bank said that the Bank has taken several steps in the last year to proactively finance new entrepreneurs under Government of India’s new initiatives for MSMEs such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Stand Up India’. The partnership with SIDBI would further improve the financing to MSMEs. This year alone, nearly 500 new entrepreneurs are financed by Vijaya Bank to set up Greenfield projects under ‘Stand Up India’ scheme. Further, the Bank has financed in excess of Rs.1250 crore this year alone under ‘Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojna (PMMY) scheme’.


Shri Manoj Mittal, Deputy Managing Director, SIDBI, while speaking on the occasion outlined the various initiatives taken in the recent past by SIDBI for enhancing credit flow to MSE Sector viz., Stand Up India Portal for providing an online market place for accessing finance and handholding support to SC/ST and Women entrepreneurs for setting up Greenfield projects with loan requirement from Rs.10 lakh to Rs.100 lakh, provide quasi-equity /equity to startup ventures under Fund of Fund operations, setting up of National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC) for guaranteeing loans in sectors such as skill development, education, MUDRA, factoring, etc. thereby boosting institutional credit flow to these sectors.

#VijayaBank Q4 net profit slides 26% to Rs 71 cr.on higher provisioning

 


Q4 result Highlights:-
  • Net interest income of the Bank increased by 7%, from Rs.623 cr for March’15 quarter to Rs.668 cr March’16 quarter.
  • Fee based income of the Bank increased from Rs.139 cr for March’15 quarter to Rs.185 cr for March’16 quarter registering a considerable growth of 33%.
  • Operating profit for March’16 quarter is at Rs.314 cr and net profit is at Rs.71 cr.

Vijaya Bank gets shareholders' approval to raise Rs 226 crore from @LICIndiaForever

Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Vijaya Bank today passed a resolution to raise Rs 226 crore from allotment of equity shares to insurance major Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on preferential basis.The Life Insurance Corporation of India has subscribed to 7,34,41,008 equity shares of the Bank at a issue price of Rs. 30.75 (Rupees Thirty and Paisa Seventy Five only) per share aggregating up to Rs. 226 Crore. Subsequent to the preferential issue, the shareholding of LIC in the Bank has increased to 14.50% from 7.19% and the share holding of Government of India has come down to 68.23% from 74.06%. 


Vijaya Bank has a network of 1843 branches and 1646ATMs catering to the needs of over 14 million customers. The Bank’s total business reached Rs.2,15,171 crore as on 31st December, 2015.

Vijaya Bank opens new regional office in Mandya dist.of #karnataka to service farmers

Kishore Sansi, MD & CEO of Vijaya Bank talked  about various farmer friendly schemes of the bank which are available to the farmers in distress.He said that the new OTS  scheme  will enable the farmers to avail a fresh agriculture loan after settling NPA account wherein complete interest will be waived.  He also emphasized that the Vijaya Bank  has made its  foot print in  Mandya  not to make profit but to become the partners of the farmers and serve the society in large


He also explained the another  attractive scheme of the bank – i.e., debt swapping of farmers’ dues with money  lenders wherein scheme provides relief to farmers indebted to non institutional lenders by extending credit to clear their high cost borrowings with money lenders at a very reasonable rate of interest.

Opening of Mandya Region is mainly aimed at easy monitoring & co-ordination with Dist. Administrators by extending financial benefit to needy & poor people.  Vijaya Bank aims at partnership with farmers with commitment and purpose which was the vision of founding fathers.

He also mentioned that the schemes of the Bank can be fine tuned for the benefit of distressed farmes.

#Vijaya Bank and #TATA Motors sign MoU for financing CVs



As per the MoU TATA Motors ltd. will refer their prospective buyers of passenger/Goods transport vehicles to Vijaya Bank for financial assistance, which in turn will sanction and release the loan on easy terms and conditions. The loans sanctioned shall carry an interest rate of  11.20%- 11.45% depending on quantum of loan. The quantum of loan shall be 80% invoice value & cost of body building. The loans are repayable in 7 years at monthly rests. The loans can be availed by individuals, Firms, corporates, schools/colleges etc., engaged in transportation of passengers, students, employees, goods etc. Working capital facility is also available to transport operators along with term loan to meet day to day expenses.

Vijaya Bank has donated a Maruthi Eeco vehicle to Omashram Trust run Old age home, at JP Nagar, Bangalore. The vehicle would meet the transportation needs of the aged residents to visit hospitals, temples,etc. It was handed over by Kishore Kumar Sansi, MD & CEO of Vijaya Bank to Omashram Trust at a function organized at the Trust Premises.

#Vijaya Bank opens its 1777th branch

Vijaya Bank has opened its 1777th branch in Bangalore.Vijaya Bank's Managing Director and CEO Kishore Sansi inaugurated its 1777th branch at Yelahanka old Town, Shivanahalli, Bangalore. As a measure of Bank’s CSR activity, the Bank adopted a girl child to support her education till her graduation. Bangalore (North) Regional Manager Mr. A Sridhar Murthy was also present on this occasion.


Vijaya Bank has a network of 1777 branches and 1531 ATMs catering to the needs of over 13 million customers. The Bank’s total business reached Rs. 210312 Crores as on 30th Sep, 2015.

Vijaya Bank today has opened its new Staff College at Bangalore. It was inaugurated by MD & CEO of the Bank Kishore Sansi. Vijaya Bank launches Mudra Card under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana

Under the aegis of ‘ Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana’,  Vijaya Bank has launched a new credit product ‘V-Mudra Card’  which will provide pre-approved credit line to the micro entrepreneurs that can be utilized for their day-to- day working capital requirements.


V-Mudra Card was launched today in Bangalore by Dr Kshatrapati Shivaji, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI in the presence of Kishore Sansi, Managing Director and CEO of Vijaya Bank.

The product is mainly aimed towards small street vendors, hawkers etc who are generally outside the purview of formal financial assistance, who require cash on daily basis to carry out their business and borrow from money lenders at high rate of interest.

The credit limit available under V-Mudra Card is upto Rs 50000/-(‘Shishu’ category of PMMY). The beneficiary will be issued with RuPay Card with pre-approved credit limit and the drawings are enabled through ATM net work for meeting the immediate liquidity problems of the micro enterprises. The product carries interest rate at Base Rate (10% at present) and is renewable once in three years. Considering the targeted category, a simple one page loan application is designed for this product. The product is also eligible for refinance by MUDRA Ltd.

Bangalore based Vijaya Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with United India Insurance Company to launch the social security scheme Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna.


The MOU with United India Insurance Company for Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna was signed by Kishore Sansi, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer,Vijaya Bank and Milind Kharat, Chairman and Managing Director of United India Insurance Co. Ltd in the presence of Executive Directors of Vijaya Bank  K R Shenoy, &  B.S Rama Rao, and General Managers.
