#South Africa Tourism to train 1600 travel agents across India

 

South Africa Tourism is doing a cross country training programme for 1600 travel agents across India. Indian tourists’ arrival in South Africa in 2013 was 1.27 lakh and is rising with each passing year.Ms. Hanneli Slabber, Country Manager, South African Tourism said, “Based on our research, we noticed that behaviour of Indian traveler is changing, they look for more experience based and memorable holidays than simple itineraries. Keeping in mind the recent change, South African Tourism is investing a lot of time in educating the trade partners on how they can maximize from the offerings available. We have received encouraging response for Learn SA each year which shows that it is a perfect platform to enhance trade partners’ knowledge on South Africa.”

Trial of Bristol businessman Shrien #Dewani begins today at #CapeTown High Court in #SouthAfrica



Indian-origin British billionaire businessman, Shrien Dewani, 34,accused plotting the murder his Indo-Swedish wife during their honeymoon in South Africa in 2010, told a court that he is bisexual as his trial for began here today.
A German male prostitute is expected to be a key witness in the case and will tell the court that Dewani paid him for sex in the months leading up to the shooting, telling him he regretted his engagement with Anni but was too ashamed to back out due to family pressure, Independent newspaper reported.

Spectrami expands into #SouthAfrica

Spectrami expands into South Africa
Spectrami a value added distributor in the MENA region, has announced that it is entering into the South African market by opening up a new office. The company plans to start with the South African market and then get into East and Southern Africa along with Indian Ocean Islands. Furthermore, the company has long term plans for the entire sub-Saharan Africa to be served from the South Africa office.
