Storage specialist, Ace Data seeks empowerment through information to deliver better customer service

Springboard Research Confirms Demand for SaaS Applications
With SAP Business ByDesign, SAP is responding to a strong demand from Indian companies for SaaS-based ERP solutions. This was revealed in a survey of 530 CIOs and IT decision makers conducted by Springboard Research with enterprises across Asia-Pacific. According to the study, 20 per cent of the respondents are already using SaaS-based ERP while 35 per cent of potential SaaS buyers are interested in procuring SaaS-based ERP within the next 12 months.
“The market for SaaS-based ERP applications, together with SCM and PLM, constitutes seven per cent to the total SaaS market in the APAC region,” said Balaka Baruah Aggarwal, Senior Manager, Emerging Software at Springboard Research. "We expect this market to grow faster because of the relatively low level of penetration of on-premise ERP application, particularly in China and India .”
“I believe that Indian SMEs share a common need for low total cost of ownership, predictability and long-term protection of their investments regardless of their business models, the industries they belong to, or their geographic location,” said Ranjan Das, Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent. “Through our controlled go-to-market strategy for SAP Business ByDesign, we are in a position to work collaboratively with many of the most innovative companies in this segment. We are confident that with SAP, our customers receive a solution that supports their business strategy in a flexible way over the long term.”
