On the second day of the two day fashion extravaganza ‘The BeYu Fashion Awards 2010’ ceremony which concluded here today IT hub Bangalore witnessed showcasing of latest collections of various young well known designers from India and abroad including model turned fashion designer Bibi Russell from Bangladesh.
The young renowned emerging and eminent designers who displayed their creations on day one included Lawman PG3, Tamanna, Anjalie sharma, Ramesh dembla, Satkrit, Sneha, Reid and Taylor and Sanchita.
“The BeYu Fashion Awards’ is an annual event which bestows special honors to a diverse group of rising stars and fashion industry leaders. The awards recognize the Indian fashion industry as a leading producer of innovative talent, designs, textiles and embellishments.” said Dr Anuj Saxena, Managing Director, Elder Health Care Limited, while announcing the fashion awards here today.
“The major highlight of the BeYu awards ceremony was presentations of awards to participating designers in various categories. This years Lifetime Achievement Award International has been conferred on Bangladesh based model turned designer BiBi Russell. The lifetime Achievement award in the Indian category has been bestowed on Designer Sharbari Datta. The Jet Airways / BeYu International Award went to renowned designer Sanchita” Dr Saxena said.
“The BeYu Best Label Launch of 2010 Award went to Raj Shroff , BeYu Best Use of Traditional Textiles Award was bestowed on Julie Kagti , LawmanPG3 BeYu Best Beach and Resort Wear award was bagged by Amanda Bacchali” he added.
“The best bridal Collection Award was given to Ramesh Dembla , BeYu Best Emerging International Brand Award went to Siringhopper and Arugam Bay ,BeYu’s best emerging designer award was bagged by Anjali sharma apart from these awards BeYu Prasad Bidapa GEN – NEXT Award was also presented The designs were showcased to an elite audience by some of India’s leading catwalk models who walked the the ramp, made up by international make-up artist Diego Schober using BeYu products to accentuate the models looks” Said Dr Saxena .
The weekend fashion extravaganza is being organized by Elder Health Care Ltd for its German premium cosmetic brand BeYu, Lawman PG3, Jetairways and Vivanta by TAj . The show is choreographed and put together by fashion choreographer and stylist Guru, Prasad Bidapa and associates..
