Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the 100% owned 2-wheeler subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company, Japan – the world’s largest manufacturer of 2-wheelers, today launched its long awaited global Road-Sport motorcycle “CBR 250R” at a press conference held at Taj West End, Bangalore.
CBR250R – Now in Bangalore!
Honda’s first affordable global sports bike - CBR 250R marks the Company’s entry in high performance 250cc segment in India. CBR250R has the largest engine displacement of any vehicle produced by HMSI. Taking India to the global platform, CBR250R will be exclusively manufactured and exported worldwide from India &Thailand.
With 27 pending patent technologies, CBR 250R is a bike of many technological firsts. It’s World First in high performance 250cc category incorporating Combined ABS. The newly developed liquid cooled 250cc 4-stroke 4-valve single cylinder DOHC engine of CBR 250R delivers a powerful 25 BHP power.
Inspired by Honda’s global fun bikes VFR 1200F & CBR 1000RR, the cutting edge design concept of CBR 250R’s is distinguished by its sporty full-cowl body, Y-shaped headlights, aerodynamic layered styling, brilliant blue LCD backlit instrument panel, elegant triangular muffler, compact exhaust system, 5 spoke aluminum cast wheels, sporty split seat and stylish rear grip,
The bikes makes its stylish debut in three stunning two-tone options - Candy Ruby Red& Accurate Silver Metallic, Sword Silver Metallic& Accurate Silver Metallic, and Asteroid Black Metallic& Accurate Silver Metallic.
Representing good value for money that exceeds the Customer’s expectation, CBR 250R will be available in Standard variant and C-ABS variant priced attractively at Rs. 1,46,725 and Rs. 1,72,059 respectively (Ex-Showroom, Bangalore prices).

Globally, Honda is leading the expansion of “Fun Biking” culture in a safe and responsible manner. Drawing large number of biking enthusiasts towards the Honda stall will be the powerful and iconic fun bikes - CBR1000RR Fire blade, CB1000R and the popular global Fun Bike ‘VFR1200F’ – the first sports-tourer with the revolutionary Dual clutch technology which has enamored biking enthusiasts worldwide with its power and distinctive style.
Safety
HMSI will demonstrate its commitment to safe and skillful riding for all ages through various specially designed activities at the Auto World Expo. HMSI has installed Safety Riding Trainers to cultivate a healthy road sense among Indian riders. Children will be introduced to importance of safety riding through the CRF-50 model, which has been specially imported from Thailand. Honda has planned various ‘Gymkhana’ fun activities like slow riding on the stylish 110cc CB Twister for adults while women can avail safety riding trainings on India’s most loved scooters – New Activa & New Dio.
