MAYUM to organize Lamhe 2011 poetry festival on the eve of Independence day

MAYUM (All India Marwadi Yuva Manch), a charitable organization, is organizing Lamhe 2011 a poetry festival on the eve of Independence day. Lamhe 2011 is conceptualized as an mono Show by Dr. Kumar Vishwas, and the performance will be full of passionate poetry, soulful rendition and rib ticking humour.


Dr. Kumar Vishwas will be supported by Ramesh ‘Muskan’ and Dr. Kavita ‘Kiran’. The proceeds from the event will be utilized towards conducting artificial limb camps around Bangalore followed by polio surgery camps. Mayum has already helped over 60,000 people with artificial limbs through its 660 branches spread all over the country.

41 year old Dr. Kumar Vishwas, authored many works such as ‘Ik Pagli Ladki Ke Bin, ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai’. Besides, he has numerous poems and articles published in leading Hindi magazines and a DVD named ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai… and beyond’ among others. His videos on YouTube have in excess of 40 million views.

Dr. Vishwas is also an integral part of Veteran Social Leader Anna Hazare's 'India against corruption' mission. Over last decade, he has emerged as the ‘Heartbeat of Indian Youth’ due to his vast fan following among young students, especially those associated with professional education.

Dr. Kavita ‘Kiran’ is a well known poetess and has authored many pieces in Hindi, English, Urdu and Rajasthani. She has also written lyrics for films such as ‘Aao Pyar Karen’ and ‘Gundagardi’.



About All India Marwari Yuva Manch

All India Marwari Yuva Manch is one of the largest volunteer organisation in India having around 60,000 members of age group 18 to 45 years. It provides facilities to all people irrespective of caste and community. It has branches spread all over India and as of today it has around 663 branches. The first branch of Marwari Yuva Manch was started on 10 October 1977 in Guwahati. Then it spread all over the country and today it has existence all over the country. Apart from that it has members spread all over the world and some new branches outside the country has also come up.


LAMHE 2011 will take place on the eve of Independence Day on Sunday, 14th August, 2011 at Good Shepherd Auditorium, Residency Road. The four hour programme will begin at 5.30 p.m. Donor Passes can be obtained from Mayum office bearers and cost Rs.500 & Rs.1000.
