Datagres raises $2M Series A funding from Nexus Venture Partners for speeding up Application Performance

Datagres Technologies Inc, is announcing the launch of Perfaccel, its next generation transparent data management platform that accelerates, manages and scales application data in a heterogeneous storage environment. Simultaneously with the release of its flagship product, the company announced that Nexus Venture Partners has committed $2.0 million USD in Series A funding to help it expand its footprint in the US and Asia markets. Datagres team has decades of experience in storage with background at companies like Sun, Netapp and EMC.

Many applications require dynamic distribution of data with fast local access and global visibility. Datagres’ approach is to use existing centralized storage servers for data at rest while bringing on-demand active data closer to the application servers. PerfAccel uses intelligent analytics on application data access patterns to move data from NAS/DAS and SAN environments to high speed solid state devices and in-memory cards in physical or virtual environments. PerfAccel allows customers in the Big data, Grid, virtualized infrastructure, and HPC markets to accelerate application performance in a very simple and intuitive manner and can result in a three to ten times performance boost. The Company has an early access program for PerfAccel 1.0 on .
Srinivasan Viswanathan, Founding Chief Technologist & CEO of Datagres, said, “Our vision is to deliver performance, scalability and manageability for dynamic application data in the simplest manner and at the lowest cost. Nexus’ unique industry understanding and their passion for infrastructure innovation will help Datagres build a strong business and deliver quality products”.
