Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) – One of the leading 3D Animation & Visual Effects (VFX) training institutes launched ‘Animation Blitz’ – city’s first magazine for animation aspirants on March 12, 2013 at JSS Auditorium, Jayanagar in Bangalore.  Guest of Honor renowned author Ms. Shobha Narayan graced the occasion with their presence and unveiled the magazine at the launch ceremony.

The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony by  all the Guests .  Shobha Narayan lauded the efforts of MAAC Jayanagar for their valuable contribution towards providing insightful knowledge and developments in the animation & VFX industry to budding animators.

The audience comprised of over 400 college students and parents who were enthralled at the first copy of the magazine that contained immense information about cartooning as a next-gen career option, a detailed interview with Suresh Eriyat (E Suresh), regarding the third anniversary celebrations of his recent venture - Studio Eeksaurus and so on. A dance performance by city’s leading dance troupe – Shadows captivated all those present there.

MAAC plans to cover trend stories, upcoming events and contributory articles on animation, VFX and digital media by experts from media & entertainment industry in next issues and bring to the table the experiences of imminent personalities of the industry and showcase the creative artworks of students in the future issues. The first 1000 copies were circulated free of cost amongst college students in Bangalore.

 Guest of Honour & Renowned author Ms. Shobha Narayan commented, “I am very happy that MAAC is bringing out an animation magazine.  Animation technology and through it, children's movies have enriched all our lives. It is time that a magazine devoted to animation hits the stands. MAAC Jayanagar has given wings to the dreams of young artists and motivated them in the right direction through this magazine launch.
