Narayana Health, which has the largest network of heart care facilities in Bangalore, today came together for a ‘Walkathon’ to create awareness about ‘Preventive Heart Care’ on the occasion of ‘World Heart Day’. Over 2,000 participants from three hospitals, two clinics and four heart centres of the Group, along with associates and general public came together to walk for a cause. The walkathon led by Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health was flagged-off by Inspector General and Additional Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kamal Pant, from St. Martha’s Heart Centre – a unit of Narayana Health.

With the increasing burden of heart diseases on Indians, NH Heart Network in Bangalore came together this year to create awareness about preventive heart care and to also showcase the strength and reach of Narayana Health. Walking improves blood circulation and also reduces blood pressure, and hence should be made habitual by one and all.”
