The first “Jewels of India” which was held at Ashoka Hotel in 1999 was inaugurated by Mrs. Parvattamma Rajkumar and was an instant success. “Jewels of India” became the first exhibition in the country to showcase jewellery through a popular celebrity who acted as the Brand Ambassador of the show. Previous Brand Ambassador’s for Jewels of India have been Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Bhagyashree, Jayaprada, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Priyanka Upendra and Sumalatha Ambareesh.
