University of Seville is one of the top universities in Europe with more than 500 years of history. Based on mutual interest in pursuing academic interaction and research collaboration, NITK and University of Seville signed the formal agreement for academic cooperation. The agreement came into force with effect from October 21, 2013. Dr Katta Venkataramana, Professor of Civil Engineering, is the coordinator from NITK while Dr Paloma Pineda, Vice-Dean of Research, is the coordinator from University of Seville for smooth implementation of activities envisaged under the MoU.
The activities planned under the agreement include:
• Regular exchange of visits by UG/PG/Research students for summer internship
and project work.
• Visits by faculty for delivering special lectures, and participating in joint
workshops and symposia.
• Joint guidance of master’s and doctoral thesis research.
• Collaboration in R&D) in various disciplines of science and engineering.
