D. S. Research Centre is going to organize a special nationwide drive on the occasion of World Cancer Day i.e. on Monday 4th February 2014. A gathering of 250 people are expected-- staff from D.S. Research Centre along with the students of BBMP School and Composite P.U. College (Ulsoor) and St Annes’ College for Women (Ulsoor) will be participating in this special drive to create awareness about cancer, its treatments and rehabilitation and in addition to it, the organization is giving a free registration for the walk-ins on 3rd, 4th and 5th February 2014.
The inauguration ceremony will be followed by a walk-a-thon from Lalbagh Main gate to Town-Hall with 100 school/college students, teachers and DSRC Staff ending with a brief felicitation ceremony for the participants in the morning and a Candle-light March from Kanteerava Stadium to Town Hall in a similar manner in the evening. The programme will be starting from 10 a.m. in the morning and is expected to continue till 12 Noon, in the morning and 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. in the evening.
