With an aim to promote photography culture, Canon India, a world leader in Digital Imaging Space, associated with a highly acclaimed international photography event – India Kliks. Inaugurated by Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice President, Canon India, the India Kliks which started today at Dilli Haat, INA not only evoked tremendous interest among participants but also among non-participants and enthusiasts as well. The mega event will go on until February 16, 2014.
With the theme – BLISS, over 5000-odd entries competed and the best 100 were handpicked by a celebrated jury of photographers and photo-critics from India and abroad. These 100 images are curated and have found place in photo expositions in Agra and New Delhi. Canon India was the proud award sponsor for this contest held in September, 2013 and had given away a Canon 700D camera to the winner of the contest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice-President, Canon India said, “India is gradually becoming one of the prime markets for photo enthusiasts. With rapid growth in the technology space and interest of people growing towards photography, Digital SLR’s are fast becoming one of the ‘must haves’ for today’s generation. To set the stage right, Canon India is continuously associating with variety of photography platforms and organising/ training sessions for amateurs as well as professional photographers.”
He further added “We are also creating unique and different experience in all 110 brand retail stores in India called the Canon Image Square. Moving ahead with the objective to promote photography culture in the country, Canon India has extended its support to India Kliks that provides just the right opportunity for enthusiasts to source creative work and showcase outstanding photography.”
