Eaton to Showcase Vehicle Products for Transportation Markets at Auto Expo 2014
Power management company Eaton will showcase its breadth of industry leading product and technology offerings for the commercial vehicle, off-highway and passenger car markets at Auto Expo 2014 in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

For more than 100 years, Eaton has been supplying its global automotive and truck customers with highly engineered products that help increase fuel economy as well as improve a vehicle's overall efficiency, performance and control.

“Eaton has established itself as a reliable technology partner amongst leading auto and commercial vehicle OEMs in India over the last seven years,” said Krishnakumar Srinivasan, managing director, Vehicle Group Eaton India. “Auto Expo has always been an excellent opportunity to understand and foresee new trends, and this year’s show we will showcase our diverse capabilities to existing and potential customers with a focus on complimenting OEM efforts to build vehicles with higher efficiency, reliability and safety.”

Eaton’s display is located in Hall 6, Stall No.6.16A and will include:

Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Transmissions and Clutches
Eaton is rapidly strengthening its customer footprint in India by offering 6- and 9-Speed transmissions designed for local operating conditions. There are almost 40,000 Eaton transmissions operating successfully on roads in India today, all  supported by a strong sales and service network working in compliment with various OEM’s networks. Eaton also invests in field training and to-date has trained more than 3,000 professional technicians at OEM service outlets and dealerships. Eaton transmissions are recognized for superior product reliability, performance and durability. Eaton is displaying its manual and automated transmissions portfolio at Auto Expo as well as its Clutch products with patented technology.

Valvetrain Products
As a full service valvetrain supplier, Eaton offers customers complete design and development capabilities for new engine development programs while producing almost 18 million engine valves annually from its world-class facilities in Ahmednagar and Nashik, India.   Eaton will be displaying its range of engine valves and valve actuation products, including hydraulic lash adjusters, followers, and rocker arms.

Torque Control Products
Eaton offers a complete portfolio of torque control products and technologies for various on- and off-road and off-highway applications which help improve product performance and vehicle uptime. This includes:

-       MLocker - Eaton’s mechanical locking differential, (MLocker) for pickup trucks, provides traction without the need for push-buttons. It utilizes a self-energizing clutch system and automatically activates in low traction situations when a wheel speed difference is detected. Automatic locking takes place within a fraction of a second, providing the driver with increased safety and confidence when traveling on wet, slippery or muddy roads. The mechanical locker also is compatible with existing anti-lock brake and vehicle stability systems, which simplifies platform integration for global OEMs. In India, Eaton supplies the MLocker to leading OEMs for export vehicles. Eaton also is introducing this product to the aftermarket segment as a retrofit.

-       NoSpin Differential - NoSpin is a patented differential from Eaton for off-highway commercial vehicles. It maximizes traction by delivering 100 percent of the torque and power to both drive wheels. Engineered to keep both wheels in a constant drive mode, the NoSpin has the ability to automatically unlock during vehicle turning to permit necessary wheel speed differentiation. NoSpin continues to drive the vehicle even if one of the wheels is suspended in the air. In India, Eaton’s NoSpin is currently being tested by leading commercial vehicle manufacturers.

Eaton’s range of torque control products will be on display at the venue.

Superchargers
Eaton superchargers for passenger car engines help in engine downsizing and down speeding, while significantly minimizing the response lag and improving fuel efficiency. The products maintain instant throttle response and torque across the engine’s entire power band especially at low rpm’s.  In India, Eaton is working with leading OEMs to demonstrate the supercharger’s technology benefits. The portfolio includes the TVS® supercharger, Eaton’s highlight at Auto Expo 2014. It is capable of delivering high power and low-end torque while providing vehicle manufacturers with the option of using a smaller, more efficient engine with no loss in performance or drivability, while providing better fuel economy and reduced emissions.

Fuel Emission Control Valves
Eaton is an industry leader in fuel emissions management and offers a comprehensive portfolio of patented products that support various applications. Its fuel emission control valves manage refueling dynamics for petrol, diesel and urea systems. Eaton develops value-driven fuel venting solutions to meet the most demanding emissions regulations, such as Evaporative Emission Norms (EVAP). Eaton has comprehensive design, testing and system integration capabilities for the development of products and technologies to support its customer’s requirements for EVAP compliance. Eaton’s roll over valve is a safety device that delays fuel leakages in the instance of a vehicle roll over, and can be incorporated into multiple tank interfaces including cam lock, hot plate welded "sandwich" mount, grommet mount and internal fuel sender mount applications. It is an ideal application for passenger cars and two wheeler segment.

Eaton also will also be displaying other product offerings including air conditioning lines with patented FIT Technology, engineering plastic components, and Hydraulic products.
