Men’s collection highlights:
The South Pacific delivery continues to take you to the water as summer approaches. Colors still pop with names like Flame Red, Aruba Blue and Beach Plum. Swim trunks burst with prints - florals, bamboo stalks, fish, and yarn dyed madras. Fabrics remain light, with linen and cottons mixed throughout. Oxford knits are prominent in this delivery, along with linen textured sweaters. Nautical stripes stake their claim on polos and wovens, while seersucker crops up in blazers and shorts. It’s a spring collection that will take you across the world to the Mediterranean and one you will never forget.
Indigo Isle continues to feature an array of prints, turning to more ethnic-inspired and asian influences, with a base palette of deep indigos, black, and white. A variety of long sleeve chambray wovens are featured in solids, stripes and ikat prints, while short sleeve wovens come in other geometric prints, like the “X-hatch”, “Tribe Print”, and “Medallion Polo” - all modern takes on global prints. Dip dying is prominent and found on crews and hoodies, and pieced colorblocks continue to be a mainstay.
Summer really starts to heat up with Guard. This performance delivery, inspired by the Nautica brand’s partnership with the USLA Championships and the needs of the waterman, is modern, functional, and comes in bright neons and clean colors. Tech fabrics are used throughout, like nylon, spandex, and performance stretch. Shirts are made for the active, with wicking and back vents. Thick scuba-inspired hooded jackets in black and white keep you warm, and compliment the bright burst of turquoise, yellow, and pink neon swimwear. Silhouettes are modern and shorter for the real performance guy.
Women’s collection highlights:
The first delivery of the Nautica Summer 2014 collection features a nautical color palette of navy, white and pops of yellow. Modern Luau incorporates bold, tropical inspired prints to create a modern interpretation of beach chic. Light and airy pieces, including striped knit maxi dresses, French terry shorts and breezy palm printed lounge pants, are seen throughout the collection. Classic nautical details can be found on the cropped anchor print skinny jeans, rouched sleeve anchor pattern blouse, and nautical striped jersey hoodie.
The summer heats up with the second delivery of the collection. Indigo Isle features a unique play on nautical style with the use of classic navy sail stripes and pops of bold orange. This collection features a variety of form flattering striped dresses and geometric printed woven pullover blouses that are perfect for the girl on-the- go who craves an effortlessly chic style. Intricate details can be found in the seam work of the navy pick stitch cropped jacket, the pick stitch pant and the flirty navy picks stitch dress that will be your closet staples this season.
Byron Bay, the final delivery of the season features a chic and classic color palette of black, white, and pops of red to easily transition you into fall and take you from the beach back to city life. Byron Bay includes a variety of crisp, clean, modern pieces like the form fitting knit ponte striped skirt, black ponte blazer with gold hardware and draped sleeveless knits that are versatile enough to take you from work to the weekend.
