Players drafted for first season of the IPTL

Amidst brewing excitement, the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) held their first player draft with the four confirmed Team Owners for 2014 IPTL - at the Oberoi Hotel in Dubai.

A collaborative meeting, had the top management of the League take the team owners through the planned operations for the first season slated to be held from Nov 28th to Dec 14th, 2014 - in the four Asian cities of Singapore, Bangkok, Mumbai & Dubai.

The IPTL announced today the competition format for the founding four teams. The 2014 IPTL Season will feature 24 matches across the four host cities in the Middle East and Asia. This unique format will have all four teams competing in a round-robin format in each of the four cities.

Former #1 and Grand Slam Champion Carlos Moya attended the draft, which will see him play in Bangkok, had this to say, "I'm very excited to be part of this competition, and look forward to playing for Bangkok. I have fond memories from the days I've played there."
