#Bangalore Police Commissioner promises pre-emptive action to prevent sexual assaults in schools
Bangalore city Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar addressed a gathering of around 5,000 people, including parents, activists, techies and youth at the Freedom Park in Bangalore today. People from all walks of life gathered at Freedom Park to protest against the spurt in crimes against women. Raghavendra Auradkar addressed the gathering for around 20 minutes and answered few questions from the audience.





"Our police officers of deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner ranks are meeting heads of schools in their jurisdiction Monday to issue the guidelines for ensuring safety and security of the students," Police Commissioner said at Freedom Park in Bangalore today."Enforcing the guidelines will be mandatory as it is the responsibility of all schools to ensure the safety of their wards," he added.
Sharing the concern of the citizens, Auradkar said stringent action would be taken against those who committed the sexual assault on a six-year-old student in a private school early this month.He also stressed the need for proper background check of all teaching and non-teaching staffs appointed by schools in Bangalore.
