Congress snaps ties with NC

Congress has decided to end its near-six-year alliance with the National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir and decided to fight the coming Assembly polls in the state on its own."The party will contest Assembly elections in the state in all 87 seats,” said Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former state chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at a press conference in Jammu.
The Congress and the NC had contested the Parliamentary elections in a pre-poll alliance, and lost all the six seats they contested.
