#Jadavpur University puts up notice to fill up vacant engineering seats

Jadavpur University (JU) to fill up 143 vacant engineering seats by holding counseling on its own. This proposal has sparked fear of exodus among other engineering institutions.
Jadavpur University (JU) vice-chancellor Prof. Abhijit Chakrabarti told Press Release Watch in Bangalore yesterday that the university’s admissions committee had decided fill up the vacant seats and online applications have been invited in this regard. Admission notice has been put up on Jadavpur University web portal www.jaduniv.edu.in and www.admission.jdvu.ac.in.The higher education department of WB has already given permission to fill up the vacant engineering seats.
