Pakistan targeted around six posts along the international border in Jammu and also violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control in Poonch district.
The exchange of fire was also reported on different posts in R S Pura Sector, Abdullian, Korotana-Khurd and Tubewell-05.
"The posts are under shelling by the Pak Rangers with small and heavy arms," an official.
There is no report of any injury or casualty in the firing.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Army also violated the truce in Hamirpur area of Poonch along the LoC.
"Pak fired on forward posts in Hamirpur area this morning at around 0840 hrs," he said and added that Pak Army carried out unprovoked firing using small arms and automatics.
"Our troops gave befitting reply using similar caliber weapons,"the official spokesman said and added that, "there was no damage or casualty reported on our side till the last reports came in."
On August 14 in less than 24 hours, Pakistan troops targeted the forward Indian posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
