The three day prime academic event for Interventional Cardiologists in India - TCT India Next 2014, hosted by Citizens Hospital, Hyderabad, began today at HICC, Hyderabad. TCT India Next 2014 will focus on Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics or minimally invasive approaches against the traditional approach of making large incisions to access areas of the heart manually. Renowned Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Martin B. Leon, Director, Columbia University Medical Center, New York & Course Director, TCT Conference, delivered the Keynote address at the inaugural session on "Past, Present and What to Expect for the Future."
Speaking at the inaugural session Dr. Sreenivas A. Kumar, Founding Course Director and Chairman of Cardiovascular Sciences and Chief Cardiologist at Citizens Hospital, said around fifteen hundred delegates from across India, highlights the significance of this premier academic event. The faculty comprising of eminent cardiologists from all over the globe will share new techniques, best practices and the latest minimally-invasive approaches to cardiac care. TCT India Next 2014 will showcase next generation treatments to our cardiologists, he added.
