The California-based investment banker and philanthropist, Azita Raji, the highest Indian American ‘bundler’ for President Barack Obama’s 2012 Presidential campaign has been appointed as the US Ambassador to Sweden.Raji raised more than $3 million in contributions in 2011-2012 for Obama’s reelection campaign.
A chartered financial analyst, Raji earlier held senior positions at JP Morgan Securities, Solomon Brothers and Drexel Burnham Lambert. She was national finance vice-chair for Obama for America in 2012 and is a member of the advisory board of the Social Enterprise Program at Columbia Business School.
