Manipal Health Enterprises, South India’s largest healthcare provider today announced its strategic partnership with Portea Medical, India’s leading standalone provider of home healthcare services to expand its homecare wing, Manipal Homecare. With an aim to make healthcare accessible and affordable, Manipal Hospitals with this partnership reaffirms its belief in foraying into allied healthcare delivery systems with established industry players.
“We envisage exponential growth for the first couple of years and expect to cover around 25% of our overall in-patient base and about 5% of out-patients,” said Manipal Health chief executive officer Ajay Bakshi.
Earlier in May 2013, Manipal Hospitals had invested in Ankur Healthcare a speciality Centre focused in delivering comprehensive services in the areas of Reproductive Medicine -IVF, Andrology and Men’s Health and is called Manipal – Ankur Andrology & Reproductive Services (MARS) now.
