Rs.151 cr from #wine sales in #Karnataka, says MD Karnataka Wine Board

Total liquor sales in Karnataka during 2013-14 were nearly Rs 14,000 crores, out of which wine contributed merely Rs.151 crore. This was stated by Dr.B Krishna, MD,Karnataka Wine Board who was present at the inauguration of Madhuloka wine store in Whitefield Bengaluru.


The new Wine store was inaugurated by Dr. B Krishna, MD, Karnataka Wine Board in the presence of Mr.KS Lokesh-Founder of Madhuloka Liqour Boutique & Enoteca and Biren Ghose, Country Head, Technicolour India.
“The state of Karnataka is quite conducive to the development of wineries. Over the years, we have seen some wonderful labels come to the forefront. A place like Wine Express, that provides such a variety of choice under a single roof, helps both the budding and experienced wine lover appreciate the beverage more.”added Dr. B Krishna.
Over 600 Indian and International wine labels will be available at the new store which has a very serene decor. Madhuloka has 16 outlets in the city which has many connoisseurs and aficionados and is at the centre of the country's wine drinking culture.
